Rye / Westchester Team Coming Down to DE
NEFHA Men's Champions are dropping in from New York
After winning the NEFHA League championships, the Rye / Westchester team from, as you guessed, Rye and Westchester New York, are making their way to Newark in July. They have a well rounded team, with one goal; the cup.
The Rye/Westchester team competes in the North East Field Hockey Association (NEFHA) league. On May 22, they were crowned League Champions after defeating the Islander II team 11-3 in the gold medal match. They got there having bested Greenwhich II 6-3.
Both teams are making an appearance at Nationals, so Rye/Westchester men are looking like serious contenders for the title game on Sunday. Only time will tell, and there is plenty of hockey to be played between Friday and Sunday's game. The Rye/Westchester men look ready to run for the trophy in a few short weeks in Newark.
